Description The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned unitsHe/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of careHe/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organizationDemonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practiceTreats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respectRequirements EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN, supplemented by completion of an in-depth cardiovascular courseCERTIFICATION/LICENSES:
Current New Mexico RN license or current compact State LicenseBLS, and ACLS requiredCCRN preferredSKILLS:
Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population servedKnowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of careCommunicates in a clear concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patientMINIMUM
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience, with at least two (2) years of the three (3) in critical care, including experience in arrhythmia and basic hemodynamic monitoring of patients in an acute-care setting; knowledge of electronic monitoring devicesPrefer at least one (1) year of previous experience in Cath LabCritical Care is defined as, but not limited to, Cath Lab, PACU, ED, CCU, ICU, MICU, SICU, and CVICUNATURE OF SUPERVISION:
